IRON-MAN 2 Review

Genre: Action/Superhero
Directed by: Jon Favreau
Staring: Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson

With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, must forge new alliances — and confront powerful enemies.

Watching the Iron Man 2 as Fan,  It’s safe to say the Movie was OK…Don’t get me wrong I’m a average fan of the Marvel Universe it’s just that while watching Iron Man 2  there was this Love-Hate-Love thing going through me…

First the Good News

Robert Downey Jr. still best for the role, watching him I saw both Tony Starks & Iron Man in Him not Robert Downey, (unlike in the Daredevil all i saw was Ben Afflect trying to be  Matt Murdock/daredevil) you feelin’ me?

Don Cheadle as Lt. Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes proves to be better military type than Howard.. which we didn’t miss.

Mickey Rourke as  Whiplash is awesome villain (made only for this movie)

Scarlett’s introduction as the Black Widow (Natalie Rushman). Is this Girl Hot or what, I mean I could barely recognize her with-out her puffy face. Her scenes were eyecathing action as well as her Outfit. I hope they still include her in the Avenger movie.

There Tones  Action in this one and were distributed along the movie and a lot of banter & humor between Tony & Pepper Potts, adds up to the enjoyment of the film.

The Bad news

Some of the dialog scene really bugs me, some of them were long and I felt I little boredom in the movie.

As far as War Machine, and comics is concerned  Tony Sarks made him as for his protection or for his best friend Rhodey.

I was expecting more action scene during the last battle between Iron-Man, War Machine & Wiplash it could been more exciting & breath talking, instead of a joined Plasma Discharge (Pulse Bolt). I mean even my girlfriend notices  that & she’s not even a fan.

It’s a great ride and fun to watch.

We got to see the glimpse of  Stan Lee as one the Guest in Starks Expo. Though I was expecting a big cameo on the part Stan Lee, well no harm done. Oliva Munn plays a reporter on the event on the Starks Expo & be sure to stay at the end of the credits…Cheers

Movie Magic is Back

Synopsis: We enter the alien world through the eyes of Jake Sully, a former Marine confined to a wheelchair. But despite his broken body, Jake is still a warrior at heart. He is recruited to travel light years to the human outpost on Pandora, where corporations are mining a rare mineral that is the key to solving Earth’s energy crisis. Because the atmosphere of Pandora is Toxic, they have created the Avatar Program, in which the human “drivers” have their consciousness linked to an avatar, a remotely-controlled biological body that can survive in the lethal air. These avatars are genetically engineered hybrids of human DNA mixed with DNA from the natives of Pandora… the Na’vi.

Reborn in his avatar form, Jake can walk again. He is given a mission to infiltrate the Na’vi, who has become major obstacle to mining the precious ore. But beautiful Na’vi female, Neytiri, saves Jake’s life, and changes everything. Jake is taken in by her clan, and learns to become one of them, which involves many tests and adventures. As Jake’s relationship with his reluctant teacher Neytiri deepens, he learns to respect the Na’vi way and finally takes his place among them. Soon he will face the ultimate test as he leads them in an epic battle that will decide nothing less than the fate of the entire world.

It’s been decades since James Cameron seen in the silver screen, and now the much anticipated sci-fi movie Avatar and it’s buzzing the web like moth on street lights.

Avatar, in all ethics, looks really mind blowing. There are blue skinned Aliens, flying dragons, Virgin Forest with teeth & Claws (no wonder it’s virgin), Mecha-wars, kick-ass action & tragic love story that will bring the public’s enthusiasm for cinematic experience. It’s like bringing back the emotions when watching the first Star-wars trilogy and it’s not just a movie it’s a revolutionary technology invented to make the film, that almost starts from scratch.

More than Four years of production, Cameron’s return with his story telling and an army of visual effects, will transport the audience into the spectacular world of aliens, creatures & characters beyond our imagination.

Go G.I. JOE!

Our grandparents remember the line of 12″ dolls kung-fu grip, providing male alternative to Barbie, our parents grew up with the high sterilized goofy cartoon with the 3 1/4″ action figures, as a kid we still remember the pop-culture “Go Joe” and “knowing is Half the Battle.”

And now a live action film based on the popular animated series 25 years ago.. G.I. Joe!, but the question remains “what are they going to look like, the characters & kickass vehicles? whats the story? Is this movie will be a modern telling of the “G.I. Joe vs. Cobra” storyline like the Joe’s we grew up with?

I’ve read some articles on the film according to Brian Goldner the chief operating officer at Hasbro, which introduced G.I Joe in 1964 and executive producer on the “Transformers” movie said

“For fans, they’re really going to love this, because we take them on a journey… We have to go through the first chapter and then build from there.”

“G.I. JOE has gone into filming this past few week, with a great cast and tremendous story all based on the comics and the animation”

Musical to the ears of long time fans of G.I Joe, Goldner also focuses on the origins of Cobra, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Duke & Baroness. We may all know the story from patriotism to the Arashikage [ninja clan where Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow came from], but Goldner added that they need to built up the story and tell the origins.

“I don’t think you’d see this movie as wacky,” he promised, alluding to some of the more eccentric characters from the cartoon show. “I think you’re going to see this movie as being inspirational for younger kids and totally in the sweet spot for the guys who grew up on G.I. Joe.” said Goldner

In August 2009, we will the live action explosive “G.I. Joe”. In the Mean time G.I. Joe continues to shoot all over the world…

Starring: Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Arnold Vosloo, Christopher Eccleston

Dark Night Returns

It’s been three summers since we’ve seen the cape & cowl last flashed across the silver screen & the anticipation is killing us. With his new toys and exceptional lead actors, Such as Maggie Gyllenhaal (as Rachel Dawes thanks to her we won’t see any Dawson’s Freak acting here), Heath Ledger (with his last extra ordinary performance as the Joker), Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent/2-Face) action junkies and fan boys will get to Action in the old fashion way (with a lot of laughs). While the Dark Night crossing the line between Hero and Vigilante.

oh ahh… Thanks to Christopher Nolan for taking away those rubber nipples.. cheers!

PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and some menace

Tony Starks on HULK?

It’s been five years since we’ve seen this jelly-green guy in the big screen.

This time Bruce Banner is searching for the cure for his “anger management”, and I hope it will not take 45mins before I see Hulk coz in the previous movie I already ate up all the popcorn, done day dreaming Jennifer Connelly belly dancing in my tongue & went to the comfort room five times just to see a glimpse of Hulk and left me green. I’ve been reading some article that this next version is inspired by the Hulk TV series starring Lou Ferrigno from the 70’s, with the whole new cast and mood, even reinventing the origins of Hulk. And this time around we can finally see his monstrous adversary The Abomination and see the Hulk we ‘ve always wanted to see Grrrrhhh!! There are some rumors that Tony Starks is appearing in this movie… And I’ll bet my ridiculous government taxes Tony Starks will Appear.
