Go G.I. JOE!

GI JOE THE MOVIE

source:comingsoon.net/MTV..com

Our grandparents remember the line of 12″ dolls kung-fu grip, providing male alternative to Barbie, our parents grew up with the high sterilized goofy cartoon with the 3 1/4″ action figures, as a kid we still remember the pop-culture “Go Joe” and “knowing is Half the Battle.”

And now a live action film based on the popular animated series 25 years ago.. G.I. Joe!, but the question remains “what are they going to look like, the characters & kickass vehicles? whats the story? Is this movie will be a modern telling of the “G.I. Joe vs. Cobra” storyline like the Joe’s we grew up with?

I’ve read some articles on the film according to Brian Goldner the chief operating officer at Hasbro, which introduced G.I Joe in 1964 and executive producer on the “Transformers” movie said

“For fans, they’re really going to love this, because we take them on a journey… We have to go through the first chapter and then build from there.”

“G.I. JOE has gone into filming this past few week, with a great cast and tremendous story all based on the comics and the animation”

Musical to the ears of long time fans of G.I Joe, Goldner also focuses on the origins of Cobra, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Duke & Baroness. We may all know the story from patriotism to the Arashikage [ninja clan where Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow came from], but Goldner added that they need to built up the story and tell the origins.

“I don’t think you’d see this movie as wacky,” he promised, alluding to some of the more eccentric characters from the cartoon show. “I think you’re going to see this movie as being inspirational for younger kids and totally in the sweet spot for the guys who grew up on G.I. Joe.” said Goldner

In August 2009, we will the live action explosive “G.I. Joe”. In the Mean time G.I. Joe continues to shoot all over the world…

Starring: Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Arnold Vosloo, Christopher Eccleston

While the Dark Night crossing the line between Hero and Vigilante.

Tony Starks on HULK?

Posted in MOVIE with tags , on May 8, 2008 by truebelievers

HULK SMASHH!!

It’s been five years since we’ve seen this jelly-green guy in the big screen.

This time Bruce Banner is searching for the cure for his “anger management”, and I hope it will not take 45mins before I see Hulk coz in the previous movie I already ate up all the popcorn, done day dreaming Jennifer Connelly belly dancing in my tongue & went to the comfort room five times just to see a glimpse of Hulk and left me green. I’ve been reading some article that this next version is inspired by the Hulk TV series starring Lou Ferrigno from the 70’s, with the whole new cast and mood, even reinventing the origins of Hulk. And this time around we can finally see his monstrous adversary The Abomination and see the Hulk we ‘ve always wanted to see Grrrrhhh!! There are some rumors that Tony Starks is appearing in this movie… And I’ll bet my ridiculous government taxes Tony Starks will Appear.

IRONMAN 2?

Yes True Believers…

We were not disappointed (well as expected), i really have to give credits to the Cast & Director Jon Favreau for sticking to the origins and Respecting the source materials of Iron man giving us fans how to start a summer with a blast. Why it works, Robert Downey Jr.really pull it off this time and only a few actors can do. His cocky & funny personality gave an Identity on Tony Starks, the chemistry of Tony & Pepper Pots played by Gweneth Paltrow (who by the way grew up with her brother reading Spider-man Comic books) gave the us an insight of there Romantic relationship and more satisfying rather than MJ & Peter Parker.

There were a little gripes that i noticed in the Movie, well i was really waiting for the Heavy metal riffs of Black Sabbath’s “Ironman” entrance, while Tony (using the Mark 1) blasting his way out of the cave. And oh the trailer… ahh well they spoiled mostly the best part of the movie.

And to the parent who wants to watch with there kids this weekends you might want to cover there eyes a few seconds right after the ambuse interview of Tony Starks, unless you want to see your 4 yr. old Sons & daughters; Starks pumping the Hot Reporter. Just pretend your getting some pop corn for a few sec.

There were also an introduction of characters to the sequel of the movie such as Nick Fury & War Machine. According to Entertainment TonighIron Man premiere and got a chance to speak to Viacom and CBS Executive Chairman Sumner Redstone and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey who said that if the movie does as well as expected, the studio will be looking to release the sequel in 2010. Iron Man 2 could easily open on April 30, which is a Friday, essentially giving it almost a similar release date as the first film.” And be sure to stay after the credits…

IRONMAN MOVIE

Hello there True Believers

It’s just hours away to see IRONMAN blasting in to the bigscreen and can’t wait to see those awesome effects and jaw dropping fighting scenes right before our eyes and most of all The Invinsible IRONMAN (I just love saying that). Another creation from the man himself Stan Lee who brought us Spider-man, Hulk, Blade, Daredevil, Electra, X-men and many more Marvelous characters in the Comic world. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a super hero movie that is fierce and funny, Well lets face it ladies & gentle dudes nothing is more exiting other than a Comic book based Movie, well yeah we all known the story, Tony Stark a Billionaire Industrialist, consummate playboy, who was kidnapped and force to build a weapon of mass destruction; instead he built an high-tech. armor to escape the terrorists, returned to America and refines the armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.(ahh the classics) But what is exiting about this movie is were going to see the armored Avenger flying and Escaping those Raptor jets, explosives coming out of his forearm, blasters energized from his palm, rocketing to the horizons men my face melted. it’s like it was stripped out from the pages of comic book and thats what we’ve liked about Marvel Studio, “Respecting the source materials” making it a compelling story, with the bad-boy image like Robert Downey jr. Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and Oscar nominee Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges and will be directed by the gifted film maker Jon Favreau not to mention ear popping Riffs of Black Sabbath’s Iron Man has pretty much everything you could want in a summer blockbuster film. See you at the Movies True Believers…
